Easter is only a few weeks away and its time all fundraisers were planning how to squeeze some nice little Easter fundraising ideas into the annual fundraising programme. A few days holiday and a special occasion to provide a focus are all that really good fundraising committees need to bring in a bit of cash. Its a great excuse to remind people that you are still here and still need to raise funds.

Easter fundraisers are also the sort of thing that people like. People are looking for things to do and good fun fundraising ideas can be just the ticket. This is particularly true of families and things like traditional Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Bonnet Parades etc are just what parents and grandparents are looking for. Fundraising ideas for kids in particular fit really well around the Easter celebrations. Any fundraising activity that might involve chocolate and candy is generally a winner in kid’s eyes!

Putting something on doesn’t have to be complicated. Don’t worry too much about coming up with one great money making idea. Instead use a simple Easter Event as a way of attracting a little crowd. Then let all your other regular fundraisers such as raffles, cake stalls and refreshments kick in. It is there that you will make your money. But just as importantly it re-affirms that your organisation is part of the community and its annual calendar of events. And that will stand you in good stead always.
